Description
Mammoth red clover is biennial clover typically used as a plow-down or cover crop clover to build organic matter in the soil while providing nitrogen for the following crop. Mammoth red clover grows taller than medium red clover and matures approximately 10 to 14 days later than medium red clover. Because of its coarse stems, Mammoth is typically not used for hay or pasture but primarily as a green manure crop.
