HayKing Sudangrass is a fast growing hybrid sudangrass with very fine stems, aggressive tillering and a mass of leaves at harvest maturity. It is a BMR 12 variety that has medium, dark green leaves with the characteristic brown midrib. For pasture, dried hay, green chop, balage, or silage.
Drilled seeding rates in Midwest, Northeast, Southeast is 30-60+ lbs/acre in row spacing from 6″ to 18″. Plant at higher rates for smaller stems for easier dry hay production.
