Green Beast is a highly digestible protein source for deer during harsh winters. It is heavily utilized after the first hard frost when the leafy area of the plant becomes sweet in taste. After grazing the leafy area, deer will graze bulbs of the plant. Green beast promotes deer herd health and is perfect for small hunting plots. One of the best late season food plots. Protein content up to 34% and has the ability to withstand temperatures into the teens. Contains New Zealand brassicas, forage collards, forage turnips, forage radish, rape and rutabaga.
Recommended seeding rate is 8 lbs. per acre, drilled 1/2″ deep into a clean, firm seedbed at least 50-60 days before the typical first frost.
