Description

ADV F7424 represents the newest generation of hybrid forage sorghums. This product features a genetic combination of BMR-6 and Brachytic dwarf that enhances both productivity and efficiency. ADV F7424 has reduced internode length creating a compact, leafy and prolific plant. However, it will yield with taller sorghums due to the standability and tillering attributes of the Brachytic dwarf characteristic. Producers will have the best of both worlds, excellent forage qualities and a dependable high-yielding feedstock.

Suggested seeding rates:  In the Midwest, 5-7 lbs/acre (Maximum 100,000 seeds/acre)

Approx. seeds/lb.:  15-20,000 (check seed bag)

Seeding depth:  Drill 1″ – 1½″ deep in a firm, moist and warm seedbed.

Management:

  • Nitrogen fertility should not exceed 115 units per acre including available nitrogen in the soil.

  • ADV F7424 Forage sorghum is usually harvested between 110 to 115 days after emergence.
  • For highest foliage protein levels, cut prior to heading
