Barsica forage rape is an excellent supplement for periods when cool-season forage grass production slows. Barsica forage rape can be sown in summer or early spring and under ideal management can be multiple-grazed at monthly intervals. Barsica has higher protein and dry matter content than turnips. Seeding rate is 3 to 5 lbs/acre.
