Green Winter Mix is a high quality, high yielding winter forage mix consisting of winter triticale, Italian ryegrass, winter peas, and radish. It is a favorite double crop after corn silage. Harvest in the spring before triticale heads for highest quality. Typical crude protein levels above 16%, and TTNDFd numbers around the mid-50’s. Super palatability. Makes excellent silage or baleage.
Recommended seeding rate is 110 lbs. per acre, drilled 3/4″ deep. Plant in late August through September harvest in early May.
