Dense Tonnage BMR BD is a medium late maturing sorghum x sudangrass variety. It is a BMR-6 and brachytic dwarf. This variety has an excellent recovery after cutting, excellent disease resistance, and is also adaptable as a single cut silage. Dense Tonnage has poor sugarcane aphid tolerance and below average rapid dry down.
Seeding rate for dry land is 15-25 lbs. per acre.
Seeding rate for irrigation is 25-35 lbs. per acre.
